An addition to our home and a storage barn to store our antique trucks and tractors in. We could not be more pleased with the quality of their workmanship. They are very efficient and knowledgeable. We were looking for someone to design and build a residential pole barn near Keuka Lake. KVB was one of several builders we considered. Their customer service, design help, and quotes (all managed through Dawn Catlin) were outstanding, timely, and very professionally documented. Once job was confirmed, they continued good communications on schedule, required paperwork, sub-contractor interfaces. etc. Once construction began, Paul Catlin and KVB work crews provided high quality, efficeint work while keeping workplace clean and safe. On the job questions were resolved without any issues. Schedule changes (in our case, waiting for proper conditions to pour a concrete floor) were understandable and well communicated. The before and after pictures really speak for themselves. Inside and out, the barn has been changed dramatically to the better. Following structural stabilization by Woodford Brothers, KVB replaced the roof, installed a smooth concrete floor, re-sided the barn, installed new and additional windows, a swing door, updated all sliding doors, added gutters and downspouts, and rewired the mercury vapor lamp on the front of the barn. Dawn and Paul were terrific, fun, and very easy to work with. Their project management was spot on, communication wonderful, flexibility and recommendations superb, and work beyond excellent. And last, their crews were ones of outstanding craftsmanship. Long story short, to say we are satisfied with the outcome is a big understatement. We are ecstatic! From my initial contact, to the last day of construction, I could not be more pleased with this Company. Mr. Catlin and his wife were a pleasure to deal with. From the onsite survey, thru the estimate and written contract proposal, they answered all my questions and concerns in a fair, professional, patient and courteous manner. They completed the job well before I expected, and being onsite during 95 % of the construction, I had the pleasure of watching the progress. Being a hobby woodworker, I know the difference between building a grandfather's clock and a pole barn. I am particular about cuts being accurately measured and square. They do not cut corners. It's obvious this crew knows what they are doing, and I'm confident they could build a 30 x 48 foot clock with the same exacting display of competence. The owner came out after the March 17th storm to give me an estimate. He said he would come back in 3 weeks to finish the estimate and finalize the price. I waited for over a month when I didn't hear anything and called him back. He eventually called me back and he told me he was booking out for 3 months and wanted to know if I was still interested. I said I was. He then informed me that he was not interested in doing the job. He knew all along that he was not going to help and left me waiting for over a month.
